Lore & Theories
Deep dives into the analog horror lore of The Color Fun Coloring Show, Peach's motives, and the unsettling world behind the TV screen.
What is Color Fear?
Color Fear is a first-person analog horror experience from developer West View, built around The Color Fun Coloring Show. Each night the show's host, Peach, gives you a simple order: find a specific color somewhere in the house and show it to her on the TV. Get the color right and you live; get it wrong and you're out.
The Color Hunt
Peach orders a color every night. Memorize it, find it in the house, and show it on the TV — wrong answers end the show for you.
Intruder Threats
Anonymous break-ins hunt you with unique abilities: turning off lights, dragging you to the basement, or freezing you mid-run.
Night Shop
Spend nightly earnings on the Toy Robot, Hitman, Remote and movement upgrades between nights.
Randomized Nights
Room layouts, TV positions and intruder picks change every run, so each 2-4 hour playthrough is different.
Between the color hunts, intruders break into the house with unique abilities, hide in expected spots, and hunt you down. You buy upgrades from the Night Shop between nights, from a Toy Robot that reveals intruder locations to a Hitman who removes cast members. With randomized room layouts and multiple endings, every playthrough of this 2-4 hour horror title plays out differently.

Color Fear FAQ
How do I find the right color each night?+
Wait for Peach to announce the target color, then search the house methodically. Colors are usually hidden in plain sight — check furniture, walls and props in every room, and remember the TV location so you can show the color quickly once found.
What do intruders actually do in Color Fear?+
Intruders break into the house with unique abilities. Some turn off the lights to blind you, others drag you to the basement on a timer, and some hide in expected spots to ambush you. Learning their audio cues and tells is the key to countering each one.
What should I buy first from the Night Shop?+
Most players buy the Toy Robot first because it reveals the intruder's location and makes route planning to the TV much safer. The Hitman is strong later for permanently removing your least favored cast member.
How many endings does Color Fear have?+
The developer only confirms that Color Fear has multiple endings tied to your actions. Cast member eliminations, Remote channel choices and special nightly objectives are believed to influence which ending you reach, though the full list is not officially confirmed yet.
Is there a demo I can play before release?+
Yes — the Color Fear demo has been available on the Steam store page since Steam Next Fest 2024. It includes the opening nights, a limited Night Shop budget and a sample of the intruder rotation, and progress does not fully carry to the full release.
What does the Remote upgrade do?+
The Remote changes channels on the TV, which alters the show itself. Different channels can change gameplay conditions and are believed to affect which outcomes and endings you can reach.
When is the full release?+
The full release date has not been announced yet. The game is listed as Coming Soon on Steam with the demo available now. Wishlisting the game on Steam is the best way to get notified when the launch date is revealed.
